Since 1997, Bio-Link has installed direct-piped RO/UF drinking water systems in Hong Kong and Macau. From model selection and installation to regular cartridge replacement and maintenance, we provide households and businesses of every kind with clean, reliable direct-piped drinking water in one service.
Our History
Bio-Link (霸力集團有限公司 / Bio-Link (Holdings) Limited) was established in Hong Kong in 1997 and has focused on RO reverse osmosis direct-piped drinking water for nearly thirty years, serving Hong Kong and Macau. Reverse osmosis has always been Bio-Link's core expertise: from the very beginning to today, we have supplied, installed and maintained direct-piped RO／UF drinking water systems, handling everything in one place from consultation and model selection to regular cartridge replacement and maintenance. Over the years we have served a large number of households, as well as offices, schools, food & beverage outlets, hotels, community centres, healthcare institutions, laboratories and other premises. We are also a Certified Social Enterprise (HKCSS／SEE mark), committed to providing training and employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups and to promoting knowledge and education about water resources.

Certification FAQ
What is the difference between NSF and SGS certification?
Both are independent third-party certification or testing, but they play different roles. NSF/ANSI is an international standard for drinking water products, divided by application (for example, 42 covers aesthetic effects and 58 covers RO systems); SGS is an international testing organisation that can test the water-quality performance of filtration systems. Designated Bio-Link models meet NSF 42 and 58, and the full range of filtration systems has passed SGS testing.
What do NSF/ANSI 42 and 58 each certify?
NSF/ANSI 42 is an aesthetic standard, covering residual chlorine, taste, odour and similar aspects; NSF/ANSI 58 addresses the contaminant-reduction performance of reverse osmosis (RO) systems. In other words, 42 relates more to taste and chlorine odour, while 58 relates to the overall contaminant-reduction capability of an RO system.
Does certification matter when choosing a water filter?
Yes. Certification means the product or system has been tested by an independent third party, which is more reliable than a manufacturer's own account. When comparing options, look at the relevant NSF/ANSI standards and the SGS test data, and confirm which model or which part of the system the certification covers, rather than accepting a general statement that a product is certified.
What is WQA certification? Is it the same as NSF?
WQA (Water Quality Association) is the American water quality association, and its mark is also referred to within the industry. Like NSF, it operates in the field of drinking water product certification, but it is a different organisation. Bio-Link cites NSF and SGS as the basis for its certification statements.
What is the scope of Bio-Link's certifications?
Our full filtration line is SGS-tested; designated models (ST1523 / ST9102 / ST2011) additionally meet NSF/ANSI 42 & 58; and the company itself is an SEE Mark accredited social enterprise (see0195) in the HKCSS Social Enterprise Directory. Learn about our social enterprise work →
Does certification mean all contaminants can be removed from the water?
No. Filtration and certification describe the “reduction” of specific items under test conditions, not the removal of all substances; actual performance depends on the incoming water quality, usage and how well the system is maintained. Any claim of “100% pure” or “complete removal” should be treated with caution.
